Cingalobolus bugnioni Carl, 1918
Cingalobolus bugnioni Carl, 1918: 449 (D). Sri Lanka. Also India, Madras?; Tiruppur? Cingalobolus bugnioni — Attems, 1936: 305 (M); Rajulu, 1964: 249 (M); 1970b: 143 (M); Padmaja et al., 1981: 103 (M); Rangaswamy et al., 1983: 8 (M, R); Bano, 1983: 169 (M); Gowri, 1986: 19 (M, R); 1987: 16 (M); Achar, 1987: 149 (M); Rajulu & Gowri, 1990: 42 (M); Jeekel, 2001c: 59 (M); Wesener et al., 2008: 38 (D); Minelli, 2015: 445 (M).
Remarks: Since all above Indian papers listed this species, sometimes with references to earlier, partly unpublished works on Indian Diplopoda, they constitute formal records of C. bugnioni from the country. However, they, as well as most faunistic records by Indian authors, are subject to question (see Introduction). De Zoysa et al. (2016) consider this species as endemic to Sri Lanka.
