Remarks. This species is common and widespread in the Palaearctic Region. It was recorded as Sciara annulata Meigen, 1818 from Taiwan ( Lin & Chen 1999; Rudzinski 2004). It can be distinguished by having CuA2 bare and apex of gonostylus not attenuated, almost equally wide along entire length.
