Specimen examined. PERU. Ayacucho: Huamanga, Chiara, route PE-3S, km 424, Abra Toccto , 4171 m, 13º20′59”S, 74º11′03”W, 21 Apr 2017, leaves of Festuca sp. , Lado 24970 (MA-Fungi 96168, USM) GoogleMaps .

Notes. A species ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ) recently transferred to the genus Polyschismium Corda from the genus Lepidoderma ( Ronikier et al. 2022) . In the Neotropics previously recorded in Argentina, Chile ( Lado & Wrigley de Basanta, 2008) and Costa Rica (Rojas et al., 2010a). It is the first record for Peru in the department of Ayacucho. It lives in the high Andean scrub on the remains of needle-like leaves of Festuca sp.
