status

11. Badhamia capsulifera (Bull.) Berk., Proc. Linn. Soc. London View in CoL 2: 200 (1852)

Specimen examined. PERU. Tacna: Tacna, Chulpapalca , route PE-40, km 63,700, east of Palca , 3220 m, 17º46′07.2”S, 69º56′23.7”W, 5 Oct 2012, debris of Corryocactus brevistylus, Lado 22105a (MA-Fungi 94700).

Notes. Peruvian specimens matched the description of the species, but some sporocarps present a well-developed stalk. According to Martin & Alexopoulos (1969) and Nannenga-Bremekamp (1991), the development of stalks is unusual in this species and, when present, generally membranous and reduced as an extension of the hypothallus.
