Material examined. Yunnan: Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Mengla County, Menglun Town , Xishuangbanna Natural Reserve , 21.94°N, 101.25°E, 563m, 7.i.2008, F.X Liu leg., 17MM and 33FF (CBEE).

Diagnosis: This species is similar to Neriene zhui Chen & Li, 1995 in having the simple paracymbium without bifurcate tip, the simple terminal apophysis with less than one coil, the distal suprategular apophysis without bifurcate branches distally, the significantly wide vulva and the copulatory grooves only with less than one coil, but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: 1, the embolus curved as “L”, with truncate tip in N. strandia , but not in N. zhui ; 2, the terminal apophysis without branches at base in N. strandia , but bifurcated at base in N. zhui ; 3, the anterior margin of atrium opening almost horizontal in N. zhui , but not in N. strandia ; 4, the vulva with two gourd-shaped lobes laterally, spermathecae and turning points situated mesally in N. strandia , but with two round lobes anteriorly, spermathecae and turning points situated mesally in N. zhui ( Figs 62–63 , 64 C–E, 65–66, 67C–E).
