Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, South China, Taiwan, Indo-China, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Moluccas, and New Guinea.

Uses.

Bark: Part of a compound decoction for diarrhea and dysentery.

Note.

The bark (rich in tannin) is astringent ( Perry 1980).
