Diagnosis. This species is superficially similar to members of Eudemopsis Falkovitch , especially E. purpurissatana ( Kennel, 1901) , but it can be separated easily from them by the absence of the curved apical spines of the socius and by the narrower valva in male genitalia.

Material examined. China: 13, Heshan (22°46'N, 112°57'E), Guangdong Province, 5-XI-2002, leg. Guilin Liu; 13, Mengyang County (22°04' N, 100°53' E), Yunnan Province, 1200 m, 19-VIII-2005, leg. Yingdang Ren.

Distribution. China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hongkong, Yunnan), Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam.

Food plant. Litsea glutinosa (Lauraceae) ( Diakonoff, 1973).

Remarks. Liu (1982) recorded this species from Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan, China.
