Materials examined: 4 males (AUP-02015–AUP-02018), 1 female (AUP-02019); Thailand, Nakhon Sawan Prov., Mae Wong District, Than Mayom , 400–450 m, 20–21.IX.2020, coll. P. Dawwrueng and P. Pawangkhanant (AUP) .
Description of male (nov.). General appearance (including armament of legs) similar to that of holotype (female) ( Figs. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 , 6 View FIGURES 6–21 ), but one male distinguished from all other known specimens in absence of black transverse band above median ocellus ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6–21 ). Large unpaired process of 9th abdominal tergite distinctly narrowing toward apex, elongately triangulated in dorsal view but truncated at apex ( Fig. 29 View FIGURES 29–63 ), almost straight (slightly sinuate) in profile ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 29–63 ), dorsally and ventrally setose, ventrally also with median furrow and deep transverse fold at base (this fold having a pair of short sclerotized ridges with small teeth along its posterior edge; Fig. 47 View FIGURES 29–63 ); epiproct with a pair of small lobules nearly middle part which connected to the inner side of each paraprocts ( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 29–63 ); subgenital plate very short, broad, with posterior part rounded and having shallow median notch, and with short styli placed at lateral parts of posterior edge ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 29–63 ).
Comparison. Differences of this taxon from all the other congeners on the basis of its males and females are given in the above-mentioned key to species and subspecies of this genus.
Discussion. This taxon was described after one female (holotype) as a subspecies of U. pulchra from Kamphaeng Phet Prov. on the base of its general appearance similar to that of female of nominotypical subspecies but distinguished by more developed black ornament on epicranium and whitish clypeus ( Gorochov et al., 2015). Later we collected additional males and female in the area near type locality of U. p. alboclypeata ; the female is in accordance to the description of this taxon, but the males show more significant differences from male of U. p. pulchra . Therefore, here we raised this subspecies to species status, as U. alboclypeata Gorochov & Dawwrueng, 2015 , stat. nov.
