HOLOTYPE: AMNH 144368 About AMNH , adult male, collected at Calabasas , 5 mi south of Metapa (= Darı´o), 12°42′N, 86°10′W (Times Atlas), 1300 ft, Nicaragua, on 13 March 1917, by Waldron DeWitt Miller (no. 26). GoogleMaps
COMMENTS: This was the only specimen collected. Many authors consider this taxon a subspecies of Thryothorus ludovicianus (e.g., Haggerty and Morton, 1995: 3).
