Ostorhinchus fukuii ( Hayashi, 1990) View in CoL
This species was observed seven times in the mesophotic zone in zone 1 and 2 ( Tab. I, Fig. 5). It appears to be relatively abundant in the mesophotic zone on the sites explored during the MesoRun program. The specimens measured approximately 7 cm (TL); body colouration light, slightly pink, with two narrow dorsal and median stripes, and an additional yellowish stripe along the base of the first dorsal fin. An eye-sized black blotch surrounded by white is present on the caudal peduncle. The individuals occurred in small schools of several individuals swimming close to caves, crevices or overhangs.
