Remarks. This species is abranchiate and has irregularly articulated antennae and palps with three or four articulations. Only two abranchiate species are known to have articulated antennae, N. fuscafasciata and Eunice curticirris Knox, 1960 . In the latter the articulations are distinctly moniliform; in the former they are somewhat irregularly cylindrical ( Fauchald 1992). The observed specimens differ from N. fuscafasciata redescription in shape of the compound falciger chaetae and subacicular hooks.

Type locality. Pago Pago , Samoa .
