Eunice denticulata Webster, 1884: 316 View in CoL .— Fauchald 1992: 119.— Carrera-Parra & Salazar-Vallejo 2011: 56. Not Kott 1951: 117–118.
Eunice conglomerans Ehlers, 1887: 93 View in CoL .— Fauchald 1992: 114.
Remarks. Specimens collected in Rottnest Island and Point Peron in Western Australia identified as Eunice denticulata in Kott (1951) are the only record of this species for the Australian coast. We re-identified the one specimen from Kott’s material present in the Australian Museum Collections as E. impexa (AM W.3701 and W.197057). No other specimen in the Australian Museum collections could be identified as E. denticulata . The distribution of E. denticulata appears to be restricted to the Grand Caribbean Region ( Carrera-Parra & Salazar-Vallejo 2011). We therefore suggest that this species does not occur in Australian waters.
