Distribution. New records: Queensland (Mooloolaba, QM G3085011). The species has a wide Indo-West Pacific range from the West Indian Ocean to Fiji. It extends into temperate water around the southern coast of the Australian continent and north into the South China Sea (see Kott, 1985, 1998).
