Note. Probable synonym of a listed Chydorus sp. Not listed in table 2.

Pleuroxus macquariensis Frey, 1993 Pleuroxus wittsteini (sic: Lofthouse, 1967?).

Description: Frey (1993b); Smirnov (1996).

Recorded from: freshwater lakes and/or pools.

Location: Macquarie I.

Note. Possibly referable to P. wittsteini , indeed the two species are very close and separated by few characters ( Frey, 1993b); cf. Korovchinsky (1996) who regards this as a valid species.
