Note. This species is a possible junior synonym of Candona ahlfeldi Studer, 1879 [ Candonidae ] ( sensu Smith and Sayers, 1971 ; Gay, 1981a), but Studer’s original description is not adequate so Müller’s I. kerguelenensis is retained here.
