General distribution pattern. throughout tropical and subtropical Africa: Burundi, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea including Island Bioco, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, São Tomé & Principe, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe. In the Palearctic region it is known from Yemen.
Distribution in Ethiopia. In western and southern Ethiopia (Gambella, Oromia and Omo regions).
