Description of Female. Fully winged; length 4.4–6.0 mm. Head black, except mandible, clypeus, gena and anterior region of face yellow; in specimens from Philippines, 7 Km W Valencia, and Japan, Mt. Tachiu-dake, head black, except mandible and part of clypeus yellow; in specimen from China, Nanling National Nature Reserve, head black, except mandible, gena and part of clypeus testaceous (rest of clypeus brown); antenna testaceous; mesosoma black, occasionally with posterior collar of pronotum reddish; metasoma brown-reddish; legs testaceous-reddish, except coxae, clubs of femora and tibiae brownish. Antenna clavate; antennal segments of specimen from Philippines, 7 Km W Valencia, in following proportions: 10:6:41:17:15:10:8:7:6:8. Head (Fig. 1 in Mita, 2009b) excavated, dull, granulated, with some longitudinal keels on face; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete, laterally not reaching eyes; holotype with POL = 4; OL = 4; OOL = 9; OPL = 0.5; TL = 1; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than TL (2:1). Occasionally greatest breadth of posterior ocelli as long as TL. In specimen from Japan, Mt. Tachiu-dake, POL = 3; OL = 4; OOL = 8; OPL = 0.5; TL = 2; greatest breadth of posterior ocelli longer than TL (2.5:2) Pronotum dull, granulated, with many striae around disc; disc humped and posterior collar short; pronotal tubercle not reaching tegula. Scutum granulated, with numerous or few areolae on lateral regions and with few areolae on medial region near posterior margin of scutum. Notauli almost complete, posteriorly separated. Scutellum and metanotum dull, granulated. Mesopleura dull, granulated. Metapleura dull, strongly transversely striate. Propodeum reticulate rugose, without longitudinal keels on posterior surface; dorsal surface of propodeum slightly longer than posterior surface (35:25). Fore wing with three dark transverse bands (in specimen from Philippines, 7 Km W Valencia, two dark transverse bands); distal part of stigmal vein about twice as long as proximal part (18:9). Protarsal segments in following proportions: 20:3:7:20:31. Enlarged claw not spatulate (Plate 79D) with one strong subdistal tooth and one row of 13–16 lamellae. Segment 5 of protarsus (Plate 79D) with two rows of 26–31 lamellae; distal apex with 11–18 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
