Remarks: the quotation of A. querceus Olmi, 1984 from China by Olmi (1999) is really related to Aphelopus albiclypeus Xu, He & Olmi. Aphelopus exanotaulices He & Xu, 2002 , described on the basis of one male specimen, is the opposite sex of Aphelopus albiclypeus Xu, He & Olmi, 1999a , described on the basis of one female specimen. The morphology of both sexes is in fact similar and the colour variability of head is very large, as shown in the above descriptions. For this reason they are considered synonyms and A. albiclypeus gains priority over A. exnotaulices .
