Aphelopus albopictoides Xu & He 1999c: 3 ; type locality: Mt. Tianmushan (Zhejiang, China); He & Xu 2002: 75; syn. nov.

Description of Female. Fully winged; length 1.6–1.9 mm. Head black, except mandible testaceous (occasionally (in specimens from Taiwan and Sabah) clypeus and anterior region of face testaceous; in specimen from China, Ningxia Hui Nationality Autonomous Region, Qiuqianjia, clypeus, gena and anterior region of face between antennal toruli testaceous); antenna brown, except segments 1–2 testaceous; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 6:4:5:4:4:4:4:4:4:9. Head dull, granulated; frontal line incomplete; POL = 6; OL = 3.5; OOL = 3.5; OPL = 2; TL = 2; occipital carina complete. Scutum, scutellum and metanotum dull, granulated. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.50–0.65 length of scutum. Propodeum with anterior surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface sculptured by two longitudinal keels, median area shiny and smooth and lateral areas dull, reticulate rugose. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Description of Male. Fully winged; length 1.6–2.7 mm. Head black or brown, except mandible testaceous (occasionally (in specimens from Taiwan, China and Sabah) face anteriorly testaceous); antenna brown, except segment 1 testaceous; mesosoma black or brown; metasoma black or brown; legs testaceous, except club of metafemur brown. Antenna filiform; antennal segments of holotype in following proportions: 5:6:6:7:7:8:8:8:8:9. Head dull, granulated; frontal line complete; POL = 10; OL = 5; OOL = 4; OPL = 5; TL = 4; occipital carina complete. Scutum, scutellum and metanotum dull, granulated. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.4–0.5 length of scutum. Propodeum with strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; dorsal surface dull, reticulate rugose; posterior surface sculptured by two longitudinal keels, with median area smooth and shiny and lateral areas reticulate rugose. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands. Basivolsella ( Plate 8D View PLATE 8 ) without outer basal process, with two subdistal bristles. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Remarks. The type of A. albopictoides Xu & He, 1999 was compared with the types and other specimens of A. orientalis Olmi, 1984 . There are no differences. The new synonymy is established and A. orientalis gains priority over A. albopictoides .
