Anteon insertum Olmi 1991: 172; He & Xu 2002: 164; Xu et al. 2011 g (Suppl.): 7.

Description of Female. Fully winged; length 2.9–3.4 mm. Black, except mandible and legs testaceous; antenna brown, except segments 1–3 testaceous. Antenna clavate; antennal segments in following proportions: 11:5:7:5:5:5:5:5:5:7. Head shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures; anterior half of face reticulate rugose; face with two longitudinal keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; frontal line complete; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 4; OOL = 6; OPL = 4; TL = 5. Pronotum with anterior surface reticulate rugose and posterior surface smooth, punctate, unsculptured among punctures; posterior surface about as long as anterior surface and shorter than scutum (7:15); pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Scutum shiny, smooth, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.5 length of scutum. Scutellum and metanotum shiny, smooth, unsculptured. Propodeum with strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two complete longitudinal keels and median area as rugose as lateral areas. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much shorter than proximal part (3.5:9). Protarsal segments in following proportions: 7:2:3:7:16. Enlarged claw (Plate 31A) with proximal prominence bearing one long bristle. Segment 5 of protarsus (Plate 31A) with basal part very large, with two rows of approximately 21 lamellae; distal apex with about eight lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.

Description of Male. Fully winged; length 2.1–4.2 mm (usual length 2.1–2.4 mm; length of specimen from Thailand, 70 Km SW Chiang Mai, 4.2 mm). Head black, except mandible testaceous; antenna testaceous, except segments 2–10 slightly darkened; mesosoma and metasoma black; legs testaceous. Antenna filiform; antennal segments in following proportions: 9:5:7:5:5:6:6:6:6:9. Head shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures; vertex with some areolae near occipital carina; frontal line complete (in specimen from China, Nanling National Nature Reserve, frontal line absent); face with two short longitudinal keels near orbits directed towards antennal toruli; POL = 7; OL = 3; OOL = 5; OPL = 2; TL = 3; occipital carina complete; in specimen from China, Nanling National Nature Reserve, POL = OOL; in specimen from China, Kuankuoshui, POL = 4; OOL = 5. Scutum shiny, punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.4–0.6 length of scutum. Scutellum and metanotum shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures. Propodeum with strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface with two complete longitudinal keels and median area as rugose as lateral areas; occasionally posterior surface of propodeum with median area laterally rugose and with central smooth and shiny area. In specimen from China, Mt. Cangshan, posterior surface of propodeum without longitudinal keels, completely reticulate rugose. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein shorter than proximal part (2:9). Paramere (Plate 30D) usually as long as penis, without distal inner pointed process; in specimen from China, Taiwan, Kukuan, paramere much shorter than penis. Tibial spurs 1/1/2.
