3. Pyrostria montana (Arènes) Kainulainen & Razafimandimbison , comb. nov.

Basionym:— Peponidium montanum Arènes (1960: 40) .

Type :— MADAGASCAR. Anjanaharibe, 1750 m, 22 December 1950, G. C o urs 3802 (lectotype, P, barcode P00093541 , designated here; isolectotype, P, barcode P00093542 ) .

Note:—A lectotype is selected since there are two specimens of Cours 3802 in P.

Three nomenclatural combinations in Pyrostria proposed by Cavaco (1967) are invalid according to ICN Article 41.5 because the page number of the protologue was not cited. These combinations are made valid here. Lectotypes are also designated since the types were not indicated in the original publication nor seen by the author (“Species mihi ignotae”, De Candolle, 1830: 476).

Note:—The description in De Candolle (1830) was based on, and referred to, a manuscript by Richard (1830) in which a collection by Chapelier was cited. The lectotype P 00093501 was annotated by Richard and constitutes original material.
