New combination: Aleurodamaeus deswardti ( Hugo, 2010) View in CoL

( Figs 15 View FIGURE 15 , 13 View FIGURE 13 C)

The type and paratypes of Gymnodamaeus deswardti Hugo, 2010 were reexamined. The notogaster of this species is convex in lateral view, and some of the caudal notogastral setae are long, twisted and corkscrew-like ( Fig. 15 View FIGURE 15 ). The body is also covered with cerotegument, although not as thickly as A. niedbalai sp. nov. or A. salvadordalii sp. nov.. The edges of the famulus-pit on tarsus I ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 C) stand out as in the other South African Aleurodamaeus species. Gymnodamaeus deswardti also displays the other characteristics of Aleurodamaeus and is therefore transferred to this genus as Aleurodamaeus deswardti ( Hugo, 2010) comb. nov..
