Type locality.

"Forest between the village of Tjisolok and the hot springs (Tjipanas) some miles inland, south coast of West Java".

Material examined.

Gunung Kapor: ME 9051, ME 9212.

Distribution in Borneo.

Sarawak: Kuching Division. Sabah: Sandakan Division. Distribution elsewhere. Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, and Java ( Van Benthem-Jutting 1940; Vermeulen and Raven 1998; Maassen 2000).

Remarks.

This is the first record of this species in Sarawak. Only dry shells were found during the surveys.
