This is a new record for Bolivia. Previously known from Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay (Govaerts et al. 2008). It was collected in the vicinity of the community of Candelaria, in the understory in a seasonally flooded “chiquitano dry forest” (127 m elev.). The nearest record of this species from outside Bolivia is G.A. Damasceno Jr. 2510 (UB), from the Morro Santa Cruz in Ladário, Mato Grosso ( Brazil).
