Description. General body color pale yellow. Crown whitish, with two medium sized black spots near coronal suture. Eyes beige or grayish black. Face ivory, more or less unicolorous, without conspicuous spot or streak; lora, genae and anteclypeus not clearly distinguishable. Pronotum brown, with light testaceous patches along anterior and lateral margins, with two large irregular whitish patches medially and a median irregular medium sized spot. Scutellum dark brown, with two whitish triangles separated by brown stripe, with a median irregular roundish spot distally; scutellar suture prominant. Forewing subhyaline, with whitish yellow veins, and brown or dark brown irregular zigzag pattern from clavus to apical cells; longitudinal veins infuscated except R; hindwings subhyaline. Second sternal apodeme in male with posterior lobes not well developed, extended beyond second sternite.

Male genitalia. Pygofer lobe widely rounded posteriorly, reaching 2/3 of subgenital plate posteriorly; dorsal process rather long, pointed apically. Subgenital plate upcurved laterally, with 3 macrosetae on outer base. Style with inner apical process slender and sharply pointed, about 1.5 times as long as outer one. Connective U-shaped, without median anterior lobe. Aedeagal shaft with pair of subapical and apical processes; basal paired processes stout and hooked.

Length. Male 2.7–2.8mm, female 2.8–2.9mm.

Material examined. Korea, Gangwon Province: 1 male , Taehwasan, 19.V.2001, Y.J. Kwon; Jeonnam Province: 3 males & 1 female, Jirisan, Hwaeomsa, 21.VIII.2002, all same collector.

Distribution. Korea (Central, South), China (Northeast, Beijing), Russia (European parts, Maritime Territory, Siberia), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine.

Host Plant. Humulus lupulus (cf. Mitjaev, 1968), Rubus idaeus (cf. Mitjaev, 1968, 1971), Rubus sp. (Mitjaev, 1963), Ulmus davidiana (cf. For. Res. Ins., 1995; Kwon & Huh, 2001), Ulmus davidiana japonica (cf. For. Res. Ins., 1995; Kwon & Huh, 2001), Ulmus laciniata (cf. For. Res. Ins., 1995; Kwon & Huh, 2001), Ulmus parvifolia (cf. For. Res. Ins., 1995; Kwon & Huh, 2001), Ulmus pumila (cf. For. Res. Ins., 1995; Kwon & Huh, 2001), Ulmus spp. (cf. Anufriev, 1970; Mitjaev, 1971; Choe, 1986; For. Res.
