TYPE LOCALITY: Bolivia, Santa Cruz, " Santa Cruz de la Sierra."

DISTRIBUTION: Chaco Boreal of Bolivia and Paraguay south to C Argentina and west to the Puna de Tarapacâ of Chile.

SYNONYMS: boliviensis Grandidier and Neveu-Lemaire, 1908 ; brevirostris Fitzinger, 1871; desertorum Krumbiegel, 1940; pannosus Thomas, 1902.
