Exquisite Rainbowfish
Only known from the King George River in the Kimberley ( Fig. 19), Melanotaenia exquisita is also found in tributaries of a number of Northern Territory rivers, including the Katherine, Edith, Mary, South Alligator and Fergusson ( Allen 1978, Allen et al. 2002).
