= Chlaenius (Chlaeniostenodes) prabangensis Kirschenhofer, 2009: 4 View in CoL syn. nov.

Study of Cotype of C. (s.str.) ripicola Andrewes, 1937 View in CoL described from India and deposited in BMNH, showed that this species belongs to subgenus Chlaeniostenodes Basilewsky, 1953 and is identical to C. (Chlaeniostenodes) prabangensis View in CoL , described from Laos by Kirschenhofer (2009). New combination is proposed here and last one should be considered as junior synonym. Here is recorded for Laos for the first time.
