Tago in his review of tailed amphibians of the Japanese empire treated all populations of Onychodactylus from “Chosen” (the old Japanese name of Korea) or “ Corea ” as Onychodactylus japonicus . The spotted pattern of dorsal coloration of the animal depicted on pl. XXVI clearly indicates that it is in fact O. koreanus .]
