Anthomyiidae View in CoL View at ENA ( Fig. 112 View FIGURES 111–116 )
The family Anthomyiidae comprises approximately 2,000 species, grouped into 40 extant genera ( Michelsen 2010; Gomes et al. 2021). Gomes et al. (2018) cited three genera and four species for the Juan Fernández Islands, while Gomes & Carvalho (2022) present a revision of Calythea Schnabl & Dziedzicki providing a key to the Neotropical species where they include a species present in Chile, C. comis (Stein) . Fourteen anthomyiid species in six genera are known from Chile ( Pape & Thompson 2020).
