Type Locality: Mexico, Jalisco, 4 mi. (6 km) west of Mazamitla, 6,600 ft. (2,012 m).
Vernacular Names: Alcorn's Pocket Gopher.
Distribution: S Jalisco ( Mexico), in Sierra del Tigre.
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Probably conspecific with bulleri , based on molecular studies (J. W. Demastes and A. Butt, pers. comm.).
