Discussion: Revision of this genus is needed; see Husson (1978:440), Emmons and Feer (1997:234), Voss et al. (2001) and Orlando et al. (2003). Formerly included didelphoides and obscurus , both now placed in the genus Makalata ( Emmons, 1993 a) .
