“Habitat in Aethiopia.” RCN: 6177.

Lectotype (Hilliard & Burtt in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 82: 242. 1981; Hilliard & Burtt in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 361. 1998): Herb. Clifford: 402, Gnaphalium 13, sheet 8 (BM-000647008).

Current name: Helichrysum foetidum (L.) Moench (Asteraceae).

Note: Hilliard & Burn (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 82: 242. 1981) designated Herb. Clifford: 402, Gnaphalium 13 as “type”, but there are two sheets, one with white capitula, the other with yellow. These authors subsequently (1998) restricted this choice to the yellow form.
