Remarks. First record from Saudi Arabia found in this study is by Verves & Khrokalo (2018, as Liosarcophaga parkeri ( Rohdendorf, 1937)) . The nominal taxa Sarcophaga aegyptica Salem, 1935 and Parasarcophaga parkeri Rohdendorf have variously been considered as distinct species (e.g., Pape 1996; El-Ahmady et al. 2018, Verves & Khrokalo 2018) or synonyms (e.g., Richet et al. 2011; Krčmar et al. 2019, Wang et al. 2022). We are here siding with the latter, awaiting evidence from molecular data.
