Specimens examined. SAUDI ARABIA: 1♂, Asir, Maraba, Al-Hudaithy Fruit Farm , 1–17.vi.2003, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( NMWC) .
Remarks. The genus Miltogramma Meigen has not previously been recorded from Saudi Arabia. A reliable identification of the specimen awaits comparisons with relevant material across the Middle East. Miltogramma in the broad sense of Pape (1996) and further revised by Szpila et al. (2023) is a large Old World genus, currently with some 120 described species. The taxon has been split into several subunits, which have variously been given rank of genus or subgenus depending on the generic concepts applied (e.g., Verves 1989), and the present species would appear to fit the concept of either Pediasiomyia Rohdendorf or Rhynchapodacra Rohdendorf as keyed by Verves (1994). We are here accepting the broad concept of Miltogramma as applied by Johnston et al. (2023) and Szpila et al. (2023).
