Figs. 439, 486, map 1.

Holotype (female): Indonesia, Papua: Dutch New Guinea, Cyclop Mountains, Mt. Lina [2° 30' S, 140° 37' E], III.1936, L.E. Cheesman, depository: The Natural History Museum, London, United Kingdom ( BMNH). GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. P.lina is characterised by the female subgenital plate that has the basal area divided in midline by a membranous zone and is angularly bent into the lobes; the apical lobes have the surface flattened, their shapes are semi-ovoid with the tip little pointed ( Figs. 439, 486). Differences to other species are outlined in the key.

Description. Fastigium verticis in front of eyes 1.2 mm, from base 1.6 mm; dorsal eye length 1.6 mm; greatest diameter of eye 1.6 mm; index fastigium verticis from base: eye length 1.0. Face rugose but shining. Tegmen surpassing apices of hind femora; gradually narrowed behind basal widening. Femora with the following number of spines on ventral margins: fore femur 7external, 6 internal; mid femur 6 external, 3 internal near base; hind femur 10–12 external, 4 minute internal near base.

Male unknown.

Female. Tenth abdominal tergite furrowed in midline. Subgenital plate divided in midline by a deeply grooved triangular area with weak median carina; resulting lateral plates large, prolonged, angularly bent before middle of length; basal area grooved, apical half flattened; lateral margin strongly convex, internal margin little convex, apex angular ( Figs. 439, 486). Near base of subgenital plate with small auricular lateral sclerites.

Coloration. Yellowish brown. Face with narrow black band between eyes; with another black line along clypeo-frontal suture interrupted in middle; scapus yellowish brown. Tegmen with pattern of dark cells and light veinlets little distinct.

Measurements of female: body 34; pronotum 8; tegmen: 30.5; hind femur 20; ovipositor 19.5 mm.

Etymology. Named after the type locality; noun in apposition.
