Type species — Xylergates asper Bates, 1864 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Lateral tubercle of prothorax placed medially; pronotum with feeble elevations; basal metatarsomere shorter than the two following together; ovipositor projected beyond the elytral apex. Number of species currently included: 1.
