Larval host plants: Craighead (1915) reported that it is “typically a heartwood feeder, attacking nearly all eastern coniferous and hardwood trees”

Chemical lures: Uncertain. Although Kentucky specimens were caught in lure-baited traps, adults of this species are often caught in traps, regardless of whether or not the traps are baited ( Hanks & Millar 2013).

Comments: Attracted to lights. Nocturnal adults can be found on the trunks of Acer , Populus Quercus and Ulmus ( Bousquet et al. 2017) .
