Distribution: CT to south FL to southern AZ and adjacent Mexico to CO, with a disjunct record from near San Francisco, CA. This species has been collected statewide in Kentucky although records are sparse in the eastern ecoregions (Map 085).

Larval host plants: Carya spp ., Castanea , Celtis , Citrus , Juglans , Leueaena pulverulenta , Malus , Prosopis glandulosa , Prunus , Pyrus , Quercus , Salix , Sapindus drummondii and Ulmus crassifolia ( Linsley & Chemsak 1997)

Chemical lures: Ethanol ( Millar et al. 2017); ethanol + 3-hydroxyoctan-2-one + anti -2,3-hexanediol (D. R. Miller et al. 2022)

Comments: This is a spring species in Kentucky with most specimens being collected in April and May. Attracted to lights.
