Larval host plants: Dead and dying Ulmus spp. ( Bousquet et al. 2017)

Comments: Primarily nocturnal—attracted to lights. Malaise traps are also effective. It is interesting that while some species restricted to feeding on elms have declined with the decline of elms (e.g., Physocnemum brevilineum ), S. tridentata remains the most frequently collected member of this genus in Kentucky.
