Distribution: Southern PQ to FL to south TX to MN. Kentucky specimens of this commonly collected species are mostly from the eastern half of the state (Map 090).

Larval host plants: Carya spp ., Cornus florida , Diospyros virginiana . Fagus ferruginea , Juglans nigra , Liquidambar styraciflua and Quercus coccinea ( Monné & Nearns 2022d)

Chemical lures: (E / Z)-fuscumol + acetate is an attractant that can be enhanced with ethanol + α- and β-pinene ( Hanks & Millar 2013)

Comments: Attracted to lights. Found during the day on branches and trunks of dying or recently dead hosts ( Bousquet et al. 2017).
