Simulium (Simulium) atipornae Takaoka, Srisuka & Choochote (in Takaoka et al., 2014e) : 725–732 (Female, male, pupa and larva); Takaoka et al., 2015a: 60 View Cited Treatment .
Distribution. Thailand and Vietnam (Thua Thien Hue).
Remarks. Simulium (S.) atipornae was originally described from Thailand and assigned to the Simulium christophersi species-group, defined by Takaoka et al. (2014e). This species was reported based on one pharate male collected from Bach Ma National Park, Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam ( Takaoka et al. 2015a).
