This genus has only one species in the area, Thecla betulae (Linnaeus) whose eggs have an hemispherical profile. The micropylar area is surrounded by a circular depression with narrow crescent shaped cells and a four petalled micropylar rosette. This depression is flanked by rounded projections in a radial arrangement on their outside area. The sides are made up of polygonal cells with rounded corners.
