TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Rio Madeira, Borba .

DISTRIBUTION: W Brazil, south of Rio Solimôes, from Rio Ucayali-Tapiche in Peru.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

SYNONYMS: castaneoventris , usto-fuscus .

COMMENTS: Perhaps a synonym of cupreus , see Groves (1992).
