Male: Bodylength 3.6–3.8 mm.

Abdomen: Groundcolourblack, denselycoveredwithgreen- greypruinosity; long- conicalindorsalview; posteriormarginalsetaeofeachtergiteweak, sparselycoveredwith hairs; tergites 1+2–5 eachwithdarkbrownmedianvittaandapairoftriangularspots; epandriumasahemisphere; sternite 1 bare.

Female: Unknown.

Etymology: Thisspeciesnamereferstotheenlargeddistalpartofthehaltere.

Diagnosis: Thisspeciesresembles Coenosiabrevicauda Pont, 2005, butit differsbyfronto-orbitalplatewithorange- greypruinosity, alongtherowof acr andtherowof dc eachwithabrownvitta, haltereyellow, knobofhaltere large, aslongasbroadandabouthalflengthofhaltere, foretrochanterand midtrochanteryellow, midfemurwithout av.
