Diagnosis. Tube white, thick-walled, with shallow transverse ridges; lacks longitudinal ridges, peristomes or alveoli. Branchial crown with 21–40 radioles per lobe; radioles with rounded process at end of interradiolar membrane. Operculum and opercular peduncle lacking. Thoracic membrane extends to last thoracic chaetiger, well developed. Collar and thorax with hooded (limbate) chaetae. Abdomen with geniculate chaetae. Thoracic and abdominal uncini with teeth ( Fig. 8H). With yellow dorsal caudal gland.

Habitat. Depth: intertidal. On rocks. Fouling species.

Distribution. Tropical Eastern Pacific. Baja California Sur ( Mexico) to Pacific of Colombia ( Monro 1933); maybe Amphi-American, since questionably mentioned by Zibrowius (1970) from Brazil, and in the checklist by Perkins (1998) from Florida and in the key of Bastida-Zavala and Salazar-Vallejo (2001).
