Diagnosis. Tube from pale pink to salmon, with prominent longitudinal ridge, forming crest, lacking peristomes or alveoli. Opercular peduncle with wide wings. Operculum with up to five successive calcareous plates, becoming progressively smaller toward apex ( Fig. 13A). Collar with “ Spirobranchus ” chaetae coarsely serrated in subapical section.

Habitat. Depth: 35– 600 m. On gastropod shells of Xenophora tenuis , on precious pink coral Corallium secundum and on solitary coral Cyatheras sp.

Distribution. Western Pacific. Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii ( Takahasi 1938; Bailey-Brock 1972).
