Material examined. More than specimens: Alaska ( USA), LACM-AHF N2128 (approx. 55º55’N, 161º27’W, Canoe Bay , north shore, Alaska King Crab Investigation, sta. 12–40, Sept. 17, 1940) ; LACM-AHF N2129 , several spec. (approx. 55º19’N, 162º57’W, Cold Bay , Alaska King Crab Investigation, sta. 70– 40, 27– 64 m, Oct. 17, 1940) ; LACM-AHF N2789 (approx. 55º55’N, 161º27’W, Canoe Bay , from crab trap, Sept. 23, 1940, coll. N.L. Schmitt). California ( USA) , LACM-AHF N412 (approx. 38º15’N, 122º58’W, Dillon Beach , Perch Rock Pt., June, 1941, coll. S.F. Light) .

Diagnosis. Tube smooth and thick-walled, lacks longitudinal ridges or alveoli, sometimes with peristomes. Opercular peduncle smooth, white. Base of operculum yoke-shaped, with a rounded dorsal process and two latero-ventral ones ( Fig. 4E). Operculum nearly radially symmetrical funnel; funnel with 13–34 radii with rounded tips ( Figs 4E–F). Collar with bayonet chaetae, with 1–2 blunt-short teeth and minute accessory teeth, distal blade smooth.

Habitat. Depth: 27–64 m; ten Hove and Jansen-Jacobs (1984) recorded it down to 250 m. Cold waters.
