Malaconothrus maior Berlese , 1910, p. 223, pl. 19, f igs. 45, 45a.
The type of T. maior (f rom Lake City, Florida) is no more present in the Collection, and the description is too short to enable a thorough comparison with other species. The identity remains therefore uncertain. I remark that in a later list, Berlese (1916b, p. 336) spelt the name as major .
