Type material
Type material could not be located at the BMNH and is presumed lost. The type locality is given as “off Port Natal, in the summer of 1835, in lat. 37°S and 21° East ” GoogleMaps .
Remarks
The figures and description given by Templeton are insufficient to determine this species. However, the illustration is clearly of a species of Vibilia , possibly of a juvenile specimen.
